I don't think Hillary is as Left Wing as everyone likes to assume.

She comes from a Republican family which may or may not mean anything, her husband was very good at looking moderate, and even a little right of center when he needed to, and Hillary seems to be very adept at moving right or left whenever it suits her needs.

Need a strong pro Isreal stand? She can and has taken it. Need a soft understanding stand on the Palestinian people's problematic plight? She can and has taken it.

I believe that if she sees that a move to the right on an issue will help her (for example taking a strong pro-military force / war on terror position) she will go for it, and convinvingly so...

Like with John Kerry, the Democrats who would support her no matter what, will choose to believe that she's only pretending to move right to get elected... The far right would never believe it, for them she is a stealth commie! No matter what she says or does won't ever win their votes so she can ignore their views altogether. As always it comes down to the middle...The undecided...And if all goes to plan, they will be confused enough by her mixed right/left combo to vote for her no matter where she really stands because they will be able to see and hear whatever they want in her confusing-by-design (TM) mixed message.

In other words, she will run the John Kerry Campaign all over again...Only better (or worse). I think better, but only time will tell.

I think she wins the primaries and then takes a stand against the far left to impress the middle: A stand against partial birth abortion for example.
