Divide and conquer

The left and right in American have more in common than not. They are culturally bonded by television, nourished by fast food and share only a handful of major religions.

I really don't care about the party of the politician, but his beliefs and actions speak volumes. Bush was an idiot for plugging intelligent design. He made himself look like one of Jimmy Swaggert's call girls.

Thule is a fool for believing in creationism. It is disillusioning to have folks like that in government. But representative government works so it merely stigmatizes his region and the believers in mud and the borrowed rib have someone speaking for them.

I'm not the enemy of the left. I'm not the enemy of the right. I'm the enemy of ignorance in whatever form it manifests itself.

If you want to empower the democrats get them to support halting illegal immigration. Bush has dropped the ball. Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (a democrat) has made efforts to counter the tide, while Homeland Defense were dragging their behinds.

By doing this they would also show they are serious about the loss of jobs and the reduction of income which come as the result of illegal immigration.

But they wont. Both parties are filled to the brim with such power-hungry, do-nothing politicians they will pander to the Mexican voter by doing absolutely nothing and hoping that hordes of second generation illegals will vote for their party.

The Mexican invasion is the single greatest economic threat and cause of unemployment in the US. If the democrats got serious about that it would offset the tax issue. Get them to eliminate the IRS as well, and I'm sure you would have a flood of former republicans in the democrats ranks- and in short order!

If democrat Janet Napolitano keeps up her efforts and gets something done - I will vote for her when she comes up for re-election.

That should tell you how serious the border state republicans view the illegal immigration issue.
