Meanwhile, the Republican majority is busy trying to make sure that the heirs to multimillion-dollar fortunes get to keep all their inheritance tax-free, their "work" constituted of breathing longer than their parents, while my children pay taxes on their earnings. How equal of everybody.

The rich paid taxes on their earnings, too, often more than once before they became part of an estate. In fact, for all intents and purposes, they pay all the taxes in this country.

Every wonderful program, every public library, everything like that is there because some bastard made a lot more money than he really needed just to live, and you're allowed to take a big chunk of it away from him.

Most millionaires in this country didn't inherit it. They worked for it.
