Chinese restaurants and pizza parlors
Maybe someone needs to explain multi-culturalism to me.
I thought that Chinese restaurants and pizza parlors were examples of cultural diversity.
I thought multi-culturalism was the demand that we become a multi language, multi clothed, multi thinking, bastardizerd society.
Cultural diversity in this country has been the merging of cultures. The absorption if one culture into another with survival of the cultural nuances that are strong enough and/or deserve to survive.
The fact is, they need to speak our language or we need to speak theirs. They need to dress like us or we need to dress like them. If one takes on overtones of the other that's great but they must merge and merging must be facilitated.
