Modern political debate is no longer both sides trying to advance their program while criticising their opponents. It has become a desperate, breathless rushing about to uproot and defame anyone, anything, anywhere, that might possibly be construed as a potential criticism of your political correctness. God help us if either side aquires the legal authority to muzzle the other.
