I know perfectly well that this is the same nativist nonsense that pops up regularly when the powers that be are trying to encourage exclusionary us-vs-them behavior.

But now we have fancy vocabulary to couch it in, and diagrams and everything.

Western values can't be elevated to the top of the pedestal because they are already there. So sorry if the possibility of other cultures making the climb is scary to the people at the top.
