I've had nearly the same experience with several Iranians I've know.(And I'm the class of 86 too!)

I'm with you on the frustration over the situation in Iraq. I thought we would have put electronic survailence on every street-corner by now...Making it all but impossible to make whole sections of Iraq "unsafe" at any given time...But then we can't even secure our own borders, let alone the Iraqi borders.

So much for Big brother's ability to make us all behave like little robots! I don't think we are anywhere close to the 1984 model despite the attempts by the liberals to make us all think the Bush is listening in on all our phone calls...We can't even get that job done in Iraq...

We'll win in Iraq, it just won't be easy and it is going to take more time. We tried to take a short-cut in the 1st Gulf War and it didn't work out.
