Conservatives: If we could do it all over again, would we still invade Iraq?
Intellectual honesty encouraged here. I was not opposed to the Iraq invasion myself at the time but as of now I feel this is a mess that is just getting worse and worse. Forget the Rumsfeld/Bush blunders of inadequate troop strength to police Iraq after the invasion and the subsequent stubborness to admit that mistake by never correcting it. Since it's obvious there were major errors in policy in the aftermath, let's just focus on the initial invasion itself and whether you would like to do this all over again, vs something like commit more forces to Afganistan and find the terrorists responsisble for 911?
