Nope Tom. That's not what my reply was about. It's just the same old complaint that all of your cites come from the right and we take them with a grain of salt. I didn't even bother to look at the date on that post. Who cared. The point was the guy you cited is controversial and there's no guarantee that anything he has to offer isn't simply partisan rhetoric.
If you notice, I didn't even say that the man was right or wrong. I simply posted a dissenting view.
I could tell you all I ever need to know about the threat of Saddam Hussein based on just one thing Tom and that's my own experience with human nature, a trait that has served me well throughout my life. What I see in Saddam is a thug but one with a strong survival sense. His actions throughout his reign have been devised to bring him power with as little risk to his own personal life as possible. In the leadup to this current war there's strong evidence he was prepared to back down prior to our invasion. He didn't use poison gas on our soldiers. The fight back was almost comical. In the first Gulf War, he clearly knew how far he could push things before the heat came on him personally.
For him to get in bed with radicals like Osama, he'd have been painting a huge target on his own body. You can put up links to as many "facts" as you can dig up Tom and you'll never convince me that moronic gangster was a threat to me or my family. People like that are bullies Tom. They pick on the weak, not nuclear powers.
