Let me say this very slowly.
With the possible exception of onerous inspections at airports, nobody in America has given up one bit of their liberty, and even that might be considered a convenience issue.
Everything, EVERYTHING said about this subject so far is about the awful things that MIGHT happen. Go and look for yourself. Hilarious, considering the views here on hypotheticals.
Anyone who bothers to READ the documents involved instead of getting their talking points from the Democratic Party, Olbermann, or Jon Stewart, finds that the problems are, to put it mildly, greatly exaggerated.
As I've mentioned in other posts, for as long as I've been aware of these things there have been people who made careers out of telling us about the secret forces getting ready to bring down totalitarianism on America. When Republicans are in office, it's leftists howling about the coming theocracy, the secret camps, and the cameras in our bedrooms. When Democrats are in office, it's the rightwingers moving out to the country, stockpiling guns, and muttering about the damn Bilderbergers and commies.
