How any rational person can claim Bush could not prove Saddam was a danger to the workd is beyond me. Do you remember GW1? Do you rememner his use of wmd? Do you remember him throwing out inspectors? Do you remember his war with Iran? That Saddam was a danger is obvious! Perhaps I misunderstand what you consider a danger to the world. Is it only nuclear armed superpowers? Is it only countries with demonstrated nuclear capabilities? Does it specifcally exclude terrorists, those that support them, or thsoe that are likely to find common cause with them?
What Bush could not prove was that Saddam had wmd only that we had good reason to believe he did. Say what you want, we have been surprised by the offense of tyrants far more than we have over estimated them when it comes to the number of people killed through collective inaction.
Unintended consequences of war related to WW2? So you appreciate that France rolled over for Germany and wish the rest of Europe did in WW2? What about the consequences of appeasement and lack of will to fight? Is that left out of what they teach as history in Europe?
