What is the the total energy input into the atmosphere from these magnetic sources you mention (in Watts)? Let's do a first-order analysis and let's be generous, assume ALL of that energy goes directly into the atmosphere and is available to cause the effects you describe. Presumably, it is the variation in this energy input which is the main culprit responsible for the climatic effects you describe. So let's find out how much this variation is, percentagewise. No doubt you have that information at your fingertips, or can quickly look it up. I wouldn't begin to know where to search for it.
We know the total power flux from the sun at the top of the atmosphere is 1370 Watts for every square meter normal to a radius from earth to sun. The earth has a radius of 6378 km so the earth's surface projected onto and normal to the solar flux has an area of 1.278x10^14 m^2, so the total amount of energy received by the entire earth from the sun every second is 1.751x10^17 Joules.
If the total power available from magnetic effects is 1/10000
of this or more (that's 1% of 1%), or about 1.751 x 10^13 Watts, then maybe you're on to something. Of course, if Johannes' gamma rays are helping, then all bets are off.

Fine. Let's put your theory to the test.
