re: The dying Earth
No need to wax philawzawfigal on us Techster, the imbalanced wobble of the dying earth has a much more prosaic explanation, a vertical gravitational component on the earth's equatorial bulge by the moon: precession. The earth is not a perfect sphere, and the moon does not orbit around the equator, the upshot is that the terrestrial rotation is perturbed by lunar tides, like flicking pebbles at a spinning top. The concept and the math have been figured out to umpteen decimal places. Your food for thought has a delicious rhetorical taste, but carries little nutritional value.
