My wife is A) a nurse, and B) much smarter than I am, and her take on this is to not forget that there are actually 33 direct victims.

Society (aka, "us") *did* fail Cho. His assertion that "we" are to blame is not without grounds. He desperately needed help and he did not get it.

If we are to protect and care for ourselves, we *have* to protect and care for others.
