You know, you call me a lot of names for someone whose grasp of these subjects is so tenuous.
Corporations that murder? Karen Silkwood as your prime example? Microsoft as a monopoly with no computing or browsing alternatives? Totalitarian states as examples of private corporations?
You've got a ways to go to match Robert's reconstruction of communist revolutions against long-standing governments as examples of "conservatism," but you're getting there.
The point about the Senate hearings was to show who has the real power in this country. If corporations were really running the show, there wouldn't BE hearings.
The point about scrapping the First Amendment for organizations should have been self-explanatory. Should all private organizations be prohibited from engaging in political activity? Which ones would you exempt? Are corporations any more or less "living breathing entities" than unions, activist organizations, or PACs?
