P.S.
How long ago did you read Atlas Shrugged? John Galt's secret lab was raided by uniformed soldiers. His original lab at the Twentieth Century Motor Company fell into ruin when he quit the company.
In the book, a clear distinction was drawn between companies that were government shills, and approved of using state power for their own ends, and companies that just wanted to be left alone to produce in a free market. The distinction was symbolically emphasized by having the former usually be impersonal corporations with vague impersonal names, while the latter were almost always founded around a dynamic and creative individual and usually named after him or her.
