I could almost believe that Saddam lead us to think he has WMD as a bluff. Or too, given his ego, wanted to be up there with the big boys on the block. As you said, Davin does have a good point there
However, we know he did have Chemical WMD and he used them to kill thousands of Kurds. We also know at the end of the Gulf War, he was working on Nuclear and biological WMD.
Had he never had such, I would say, yeah, he probably was bluffing.
Anyway, the search is not over yet.
