I Thought You Were Supposed To Be A Proffesor

After all the lecturing on proper debate tactics it's kind of sad to see you resort to third grade tactics. The comparisons with WW1 and WW2 are certainly valid despite your handwaiving 3rd grade taunting.

Clinton was almost certainly paralyzed by the fear of failing and all the potential negative consequences only to have a worse consequence than he ever imagined occur. I fight the fear of change and screwing up frequently at work. The symptoms are crystal clear to me after making a living of trying to make things work better for over a decade. Actually having the real world evaluate my efforts by objective results rather than have the issue judged by coworkers slapping me on the back by agreeing with me tends to enforce objectivity and self critisism rather than dogma and blind faith. I've bucked the consensus and refused to ignore problems many times to accomplish the big process improvements I've made.

The number of dogma inspired inconsistencies around here is quite glaring despite the far higher than average IQ and science understanding of most posters here. It's human nature. The great thing about science is it fights human nature to believe what we want to. The principles of Occum's razor and logical consistency should be applied to politics and everyday life as well as science. A better understanding of probability would benefit most as well. When conclusive proof is absent decisions should be based on most probable cause or outcome.

Mark
