Clarification: For Mark, SDG and Tom

I used to teach from time to time, but ever since before I finished grad school I have been working mostly as a Software Engineer. I only taught a little on the side for about a year. I enjoy teaching, and I get probably the best reviews in my department by some accounts- but I am not now nor was I ever a 'College Professor'.

Nowdays, I am pretty much out of the Teaching Biz. Pay sucks and the hours are long if you wanna do a good job...

Tom likes to pull the 'Yer just one-a dem dar coleeege smaht boyz' Bullshit... Like I am a sheltered naive rich type. You should avoid his prattle. What he likes to ignore is I grew up doing farm work and going to school in a 4 stop-light oil town, slang hash and worked hard to pay my way through State college, earned a spot at a top grad school, and now work in software engineering. Tom just likes to tell that story to make himself feel better about how he views 'libraals'- But its just Spin.

Willing to bet Tom grew up richer than I- not to start the 'when I was a kid' comparison contest... ;-)
