re: Are we on the Flame Board?

Hi Lindy

I see it as I was a mistake for one mother, but a blessing for another mother.

For my wife, we found her Lupus usually flairs up when she is under stress or gets sick. Anything that triggers her immune system will cause her Lupus to flair up. (For those who don’t know, Lupus is basically a person’s immune system attacking their own body).

She takes aspirin to thin her blood. This keeps her blood from clotting (Lupus is known for damaging Kidneys, but blood clots are probably the most dangerous thing Lupus does. This can cause strokes or heart attacks.)

She is getting better about not stressing out. While I was unemployed, her Lupus stayed in remission until a week or so before I got my new job. Thank God I got the job when I did.

Lupus is just something you have to learn to live with. There is no cure, and it is a terminal illness, but people who have it can keep it under control. We don’t know how long she has on this Earth, but then again neither do I our any of us know how long we have. That is why I say we should all make the most of our lives while we are here.
