The original comment I made referred to adoption, and was not intended to start an abortion argument.

All I know is that every pregnant woman I've known who has had a miscarriage in her first couple of months--not uncommon--felt that she had lost a baby, not a "product of conception," and mourned accordingly.

I have two kids, and they were my kids from the second the stick turned blue. I can't speak for anyone else.
