Hi.

I have noticed that tendency to somehow reference all matters toward favorite topics, such as blaming Clinton for everything, but it didn't come to mind when I was wandering all over the map.

And, I was tough to read. Certainly don't blame you, and I wouldn't have read myself. That's why I left, I was getting so worked up and hostile it was ridiculous. Don't like war when it's avoidable, etc., but my posts were unnecessarily offensive a good part of the time.

I spend a bit of time away from the web, TV, phones, etc., and it's amazing what a few days away from GWB & Co. can do for one's outlook. When one is in the middle of discussions, watching the news, reading the papers, one can unconsciously imagine oneself as a "player", with something relevant and meaningful to add to the world scene.

Get away from it, and the realization that I'm about as relevant and meaningful is as true for me as it is for any ant on a large hill. Even if right, true, honest, moral, ethical, and all that, one Single White Male stuck away in the boonies with an internet connection and computer doesn't count for anything where it's really happening.

And oddly enough, even if it's in my own mind, becoming more comfortable is in inverse proportion to my imagined importance.

Sigh.
