You bring to mind images of Nancy Reagan, Betsy. I'll bet you said "no" until you were married, or you came well prepared. Lots of teenagers don't have the money or the access to birth control. What are they going to do? Ask Mommy or Daddy for a bigger allowance? Hormones on 15 yr. olds aren't exactly manageable. Your condescending line >"There are better more worthy kinds of control, of which self-control is one." just doesn't cut it. I don't care HOW MUCH you preach. We know you have a son. What about a daughter? Did you ever let her out of the house? Do you tell her "Just say no"?

Wow, that's like saying there's just no excuses for ANYTHING, like not wearing a seatbelt, drinking and driving, getting overdrawn at the bank, forgetting someone's birthday. There's just NO EXCUSE! C'mon Betsy, you're scaring me. You have absolutely NO TOLERANCE. You're really uptight. I pray for your deliverance.......;~)
