To an extent that's true, but the line of 'morality' will be different for each individual. Sitting down in a 'whites only' section doesn't really harm anyone. As an act of protest it is still more peaceful and less negative than name-calling or assaulting others.

As for power. Power is an illusion. Laws are not power. Money is not power. Jesus wasn't a legislator or a tax-collector and yet his power came from speaking wisdom. All those who speak truth or what passes for it at a certain level will find themselves with far more power than Kings, Presidents and politicians.
You, Mary Anne, are more powerful than anyone else in determining your future. When you realize that the emotional pendulum is one's true enemy and not the GOP or any religious fanatics that surround you...at that point you will give none of these others power over you.
The truly powerful can walk through the equivalent of hell unscathed. When legions of demonaic forms try to anger them, sadden them, frighten them or make them jealous, they are completely immune. Why are they immune? Because they have become so balanced and integrated that emotional manifestations can't find a 'hook' in their composition.
When you realize that justice is automatic and built in to universal function you will cease to be so concerned about the apparent injustices you see around you. And when you speak about helping society achieve greater equality and justice your calm demeanor will lend strength and serve as a role model to those who so desperately also need to find equilibrium.
Then you will be quite 'powerful' and your progressive evolution will be assured.
