As the Left recovers from its shock, their current top of the list for explanations of the election is that Bush voters are all gay-hating, knuckle-dragging troglodytes, and that only anti-gay sentiments took him over the top.

Oddly, he apparently got about the same percentage of the gay vote as he did last time. Assuming that part of the "exit surveys" wasn't bullshit, too.
