We've had 6 years of neocon leadership, with executive, legislative and judicial majorities united behind a wartime president with a mandate from the people to win a war, and extensive popular support from roughly half the population. Even with the last election, the Democratic legislative majority is razor thin and can be easily vetoed or frustrated. The administration still has two more years to get the program it has spent the last six assembling to prove itself. Eight bloody years in all to make its point and consolidate its power. The right now has its own press and by definition it has always controlled economic policy. What's the hold-up?
There is no point in talking about it any more. Your program will either work, or it won't. And work is defined as the ability to get elected and achieve power to carry out your program, not the sophistry of your arguments or the elegance of your logic. The next election will record the decision of the people. If you can't win that, all the excuses and talk will make no difference. What the hell are you bitchin' about? You can't play the role of abused and persecuted minority any more, you have everything going for you and you're still tripping over your dick.
