Flame » in reply to You're overanalyzing

Jeez Robert...

You're away for weeks at a time and then save your posting to respond to this one?

See what I mean about people getting fixated by Bush?

And what is it that makes all these people asses? Because they lie? Because they don't do what others want them to do? Because they have (perish forbid!) their own agenda?

Because they conceived and supported a plan to remove Saddam Hussein from Iraq? Because they didn't agree with the folks who wanted to leave Saddam to the UN? That same UN that was in cahoots with Saddam from Kofi Annan and his son to all the various nations who were getting freebies? Because Iraq was a cesspool for limited intelligence and violence only kept peaceful by 30,000 yearly regular executions and a secret police? Because they are mean to journalists who question their integrity, intelligence and motivations?

The person who made that video has the mindset of an arrested adolescent and a worldview that's limited to the very 1st layer of leftist media propaganda - it's as shallow as your 'they are all a--holes' reply.

Wingers don't go around espousing the 'mirror principle' most folks who get wildly emotional about others will avoid that like the plague, left or right. It's far too painful to wake up to the fact that the people one despise and the traits one despises them for are part of oneself that go completely unrecognized.

Bush and his fixed, unrelenting, unmorphing worldview matches your own. Condi's, Rumsfeld's dogged determination and steadfast political beliefs also mirror your own views. And Cheney, the namecalling, smirking politician who is convinced of his own righteousness - spot on again - a mirror image of the fixed, superior-than-thou leftists who despise him because of his attitudes and care less what anybody thinks attitude.

Whatever you, Lindy, art or ER find intolerable in Bush and the rest? Bingo baby - it's part of your make up that the universe serves up to you on a remote platter.

I know you guys and gals can't see it. Most folks can't. If they could the world would be a lot less hostile, with far fewer wars and far less bad marriages and divorces. Just like the Israelis and their age old "God's chosen people" bit matches with the Palestinian Jihadists who brainwash their kids that it is theywho are God's chosen ones. Do either see that they hold beliefs that are mirror images of eachothers?

Of course not. They are just as blind.

I could point out examples till the cows come home, but it wont make a difference until...and this is important...

...you are willing to realize YOU are the one responsible for your emotional state and subsequent views. And that anyone you hate, dislike, can't stand or find to be an unbearable ass....maybe an ass or whatever, but the fact that they emotionalize you means these traits are YOURS.

If you find my proselytizing posts preachy and long-winded? Bingo baby! Mirror image! If I seem unwilling to bend and full of myself? Bingo again! Mirror image! I'm clueless? Agenda-driven? Blind? Out of my mind? Full of crazy ideas? Blindly obedient to the wrong cause?

Yep...like I mentioned the universe excels at the unintentional and more often than not unrecognized humor.

Once one does recognize that the world acts as a mirror for our emotional imbalances, one learns first to do a self-evaluation. Violent emotions, despite being considered normal, are an unhealthy mental state, but do have value when used as a tool to recognize our own hang ups. And yes, I wish I applied the mirror principle myself more often when I find myself frustrated at others actions...that's why I proselytize about it as much as I do. It's my own wake up call.
