The "significance" (or otherwise) of humans is irrelevant

If God exists, and created Life, the Universe and Everything, then surely it's so very simple to understand that this can include you, me, the smallest flea, the quarks and gluons - as well as the great vastness of space and everything in it - the gigantic galaxies, the stupefying distances, and so on. Everything. From the greatest to the tiniest. From the simplest to the most bizarre and mysterious. That is what is meant by an Infinite Being. Everything is included. Thus, we may be important, and yet utterly tiny, vanishingly small - all at the same time!

I have made this simple point before to you, and yet you persist in ignoring it.

I can't understand how you keep harping on our supposed insignificance, just because you looked through a telescope or two. Before you reply, please bother to read the above paragraph again, and try and understand what is being said so very simply.

What I *will* concede, is your point about so much suffering in the world, going on for all of human history. This is a stronger argument for atheism as it focusses on the *morality* of God, who if He exists then allows so much suffering and agony in the world. Focussing on the moral aspect is stronger for atheists than going on about the size of the Universe and our place in it, IMO.
