re: I have a simular view on the subject.
Hi REB.
You asked:
What is your thought on the archangels, like Michael? I believe they were around before God made our universe. I wonder what their history is.
Who knows what lies beyond our universe.
So far I have only devoted quality time into understanding the scientific meaning in Genesis, specifically where it says that the creation was without form and void.
From the materialistic (hardware) view point it could only be without form and void if the “protomass†was distributed evenly throughout the universe and was motionless at the same time.
From the spiritual (software) viewpoint it could be considered as a thought, concept, idea, or simply the “ability†of the creator to make something such as space, mass and energy.
I suspect that there is only one universe, there may be different “dimensions†in this one universe, but they all would be included in the same universal creation.
The scientists say that the solar system and perhaps the milky way galaxy is a relatively new comer to the universal existence of stars and solar systems, that means that there may be stars and solar systems that are billions of years older than our milky way.
If there are planetary systems that are billions of years older than our solar system and if those systems developed intelligent life as quickly as in this system, then their technological and scientific development would be billions of years further than ours, such beings could be considered as angels or gods by us even in today’s scientifically enlightened era.
There seems to be at least two aspects to us humans, one is the physical and the other is the spiritual, that means that there are two types of “death†one is the physical and the other is the spiritual. Such a concept could be compared to a computer hardware (physical) and software (spiritual).
The computer is useless unless both the hardware and software are working together.
