...one stays a CEO. A Fortune 500 CEO has more money and power at their disposal than most nations.

Politicians salaries are a joke in comparison, and the only thing media attention brings you is a headache. When's the last time you saw the media elite go after the heads of the Fortune 500? Oh, that's right, the media (the faux 'voice of the people') is owned by the Fortune 500. Celebrities and politicians are fair game - but Corporate executives are almost entirely 'hands off' unless they are targeting an interest held by a rival corporation.
