Cause at the end of his term he really got it in terms of the dangers of the military industrial complex. He made some boneheaded moves during his reign but I think he grew tremendously in stature by the time he left.
Now in regard to Robert's post about drafting someone that has shown no eagerness to put his hat in the ring, I'd prefer Wesley Clark over Gore. He certainly wouldn't wimp out if faced with the attacks of the right and he understands the complexities of world politics.
