Thank you Art.
I sat in my seat after the movie watching the credits roll trying to pull myself together. I felt lucky to still have my Canadian citizenship. I have THAT OPTION, if I need it. It occured to me I wanted to live in a country that respected it's peoples.
But I got over it quickly when I left the theatre and the sun was shining on my beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Now I have a better perspective of who I am, what I am and the choices that are available for me. There's a part of me that wants it all, certainly the freedom to come and go between borders as all the "snowbirds" do. Make no bones about it, Canada is COLD...and expensive.
Yup, you're right, no one has a right to diss the film or the Director until after they've seen it. Thanks for sharing.
