I don't support one side or the other just to support them. I would vote
for a Republican presidential candidate if he or she were qualified for the
job. I care about the person, not the politics.
I am one of those strange creatures called a Moderate. I know there
are a lot of my kind out there, but they get drowned out by the wingers
on both ends of the scale.
As for Moore and Sicko, in this case I agree with the New Yorker review -
and Lindy, you should read the magazine: It has incredible writing and
if you think they are butt-kissers for the Right, then you have certainly
not read it. They are frequent critics of Bush and his thugs, including
exposing the current regime's plans to stupidly attack Iran.
Maybe Moore has his heart in the right place, but I do not care to be
manipulated by him in the process. Sicko is his biggest manipulation yet.
Of course there are problems with the US medical system and yes it
would be nice for everyone to have health care like Canada and Cuba,
but will it be as good as everyone thinks? Or will we end up with more
people like that woman who died in that shoddy LA hospital ER waiting for
someone to help her?
I saw Fahrenheit 911. One thing I did not like is when he showed Iraqi
children flying kites and playing outside the day before the invasion.
That was total BS. No sane Iraqi parent had their children outdoors
right before the US troops were to be swooping in.
I don't like being manipulated, I don't care who it is. Bullying and
pressuring me to take an opinion that I do not agree with only gets
a magnified response back in kind.

No, Lindy, I am merely speaking my mind
