Were it only typos

No Lee, I allow for typos but making the same grammatical mistake time after time is out of that realm. If you're going to play with intelligent and articulate people you might want to start talking like them or just sit back and learn.

It really doesn't sink in to you does it. We're not talking about just paying bills for the poor, we're talking about a system where nobody pays a thing to go to the doctor or to get medication and the decisions for care are based on the need for the care and not the expense. The tax system picks up the tab for all of it. As with the highly successful government-run system of Social Security (and I'm talking simplicity in collection of funds and disbursements and a huge lowering of indigent elderly people on the streets) our taxes go into a trust fund that pays towards our generation, those that came before us, and those that come after. Your taxes aren't going for your specific care. They are used for all humans in your community to ensure the quality of life remains as high as society can allow and that all have equal access.

Those dregs of society still feed at the trough but now you have incentive to fix their abuse because the system gets more efficient the earlier you attack their problems. Right now there is no incentive to the private health care system because it's not them picking up the bills when these people hit rock bottom. It's all of us.

If this sounds socialistic, who the hell cares. A person can lean towards social values in one issue and have completely divergent views in others. Lenin and Stalin cared not one lick about the downtrodden when they introduced their rules on the Soviet state. Their system was all about power and not opportunity and a program like this gives a person that might be hit from time to time with ailing health that basic opportunity again. It allows them to recover without going into crushing debt that keeps them from attaining even a possibility of middle class status. It also greatly unburdens employers. Why any conservative wouldn't wish that result is beyond me.

And that's what it's all about with conservative leaders. They truly despise a middle class because they can't be controlled. At that level one can taste the wealth and power and a person knows that nobody above them is any more entitled to it than they are. When your economic base falls out from under your feet you're more likely to seek a big brother to lead you along.

Will there be problems with a huge program like this? Yes of course. Will they be any worse than the ones so many Americans see today? Hell no and we'll probably wonder afterwards why we didn't do this years earlier.
