Are you that dim that you don't understand that UNIVERSAL health care is paid for by taxes? Oh, and by the way, those same taxes are the ones we presently pay since so many people have no preventative health care in their lives and we end up picking up the tab when things go from bad to crisis.
What you morons don't realize is that you're already paying in other ways and through the nose. The cost of everything we buy in this country is hiked up substantially because the corporations that create them have to subsidize their employee's health care plans.
By the way, I work for a major health care organization so stop with your condescending and partisan lecturing like you're the only one with any information about this subject. I see the effects of our failed system daily. Right now that failed industry helps pay my mortgage and provides my family with medical care but I'd gladly change professions if it meant a move towards sanity in our country.
Luckily, I can sleep at night since the section of the company I work for deals only in Medicare and Medicaid claims and the onus is not so much on profit but accuracy in claim filing. However, the parent company behind my division had their corporate offices shown repeatedly in Moore's film, most likely deservedly.
If you worked a day in my shoes dealing with the red tape of a system that decides how medical claims are paid, there is simply no way you could continue to insist upon privatization of medical care. To take away the complexity we've built into the system by just paying for everything would eliminate a huge amount of cost and create much more efficiency.
