I am not a fervent supporter

of this administration....but it is all that we have until next year....we have an incredible system of checks and balances, I am an optimist, and I trust the American people, ESPECIALLY in a crisis. I get extremely aggravated at the complacency that abounds in everyday life, but by the mere fact complacency does permeate the masses, indicates to me a sense of calm that is required to keep the country on an even keel. I saw what 9/11 did to us...and the public outcry. We were/are awesome!! EVERYONE will have an opportunity to convey their feelings soon enough. We are a population of freedom fighters albeit in different ways. Some pound their chest, others use the pen...others the sword...for me, I am a fervent supporter of Democracy, and SHOULD this scenerio come to fruition, I would welcome the chance to die for my country....it would be an honor.
BUT not before I put up one helluva fight.

That being said...

BECAUSE I am a female, 52, and the matriarch of my family, which is a job I do NOT take lightly, I have people that rely on me to maintain .

My son would be compelled to go *underground* and become a subversive....probably my son-in-law, also. I would keep the homefires burning, and hide the truth from my 82 year-old mother.

If being subversive meant that my boys would have to physically leave, I would bring my girls home to live with me.

I would support the fight for freedom, by maintaining composure, taking care of the girls and myself, funnel money to the cause, take to the pen..

I would *act as if* I was in compliance with the regime....maybe this is why I believe in the possibility of conspiracies...because I would be a co-conspirator for justice.

I am a grounded realist, and I would do what I had to do until the day I was eliminated....and that is to preseverve , and preserve the American way of life.
