Hey...
I picked up surplus radiation detectors and took one on my first road trip after 9/11. I got all kinds of crap for it on another board.
I am well aware that a radiological attack is one of the most likely. I am also well aware that it won't mean the fall of American civilization, and is very unlikely to require any extreme governmental changes.
In fact, I expect the attack to actually involve some trivial amount of radiation, but that there will be a panic in the vicinity thanks to people who have been lovingly trained by our Cultural Enlightened to fear the very word "radiation."
