It's hilarious watching the same media desperately looking for light at the end of the tunnel when they saw nothing but tunnels for the last eight years, no matter what the statistics were. Remember, the definition of "buttmonkey" is someone who fawns over someone and thinks everything they do is touched with gold (I first heard it on a "Buffy" episode where Xander was playing Renfield to Dracula.)
Given long enough, any normal economy would recover, but given Obama's new taxes on producers, massive spending proposals, and kneecapping business, industry, and investors at every opportunity, we might be in for a long wait.
This is the first opportunity in a long time where the Democrats have had full rein to implement their theories that economic prosperity is generated by centralized control of large sectors of the economy and massive wealth redistribution. They just barely got rolling in 1993 when the Republicans took Congress back in 1995. You really think there would have been a "Clinton surplus" in 2000 if the Congress was being run by those running it now, or "Hillarycare" had gone through?
