And its only self defense when they attack you. Thats what it is, Tom! Clear and Present would be Sadam caught in the act of trying to deploy WMD against USA or an ally. Clear and Present would be any attack outside of Iraq. So this has been going on for 12 years, when did it become clear and present??

Again, I am not advocating he be left alone, just kept in a little box. So far its worked for more than a decade.

When will you give this up, Tom? I am armed and pro firearms, and I've told you that 100 times. Atre you trying to argue with me or the people who are not here?

Tom, as I said and proved in my post to tech1, there are MANY WMD armed madmen in this world who hate us. We killed several of Quack-dalfi's family, and he hates us with blood rage and he has WMD. Why are we not drawing a bead on Libya, Syria the rest of them?

We have left him alone and in a box for 12 years and, last I checked, he had not used WMD against anyone or do anything more than take simpering littl pot-shots at allied jets enforcing the no-fly zone.

but, tom, my main argument is that this will harm our national interests because of our failure to legitimize this way (see the thread with tech1 and Matt)
