Current Events » in reply to Clinton: the bionic politician

Tom, you probably meant bubonic?

Tom, I was teasing...

But, actually, um.... I don't care that Clinton got a BJ in the oval office, not even really that he lied about it- You drag me into court on false pretexts and ask me about the details of my sex life and I'd probably lie to you cause its none of your damn business no matter what Big Brother heavy handed legal crap you drag along with you to legitimize it. I didn't like that whole 'Is Is' equivocation, that pissed me a little. But We The People and Ken 'Porn' Starr got exactly what we deserved for dragging anyone int court on false pretense to fish around for blowjobs- a big fat lie.

That whole process was BS. All that money and all that time the right sank, and all they could dredge up was an unlikely incident of sexual harrassment that only got judged in favor of because of a lie about a blowjob. How dumb, How pathetis. What a waste.

Meanwhile dear old upstandin' Paula Jones Boxes Tonja Harding on fox to pay her lawyer bills (becuase the Right cares sooo much about justice for her...) and Monica (who I really have nothing against, I just feel sad that she was a minipulated little kid) spills all on HBO and is made a fool of by Tom Green on MTV. At least Linda Tripp is the pariah she deserves to be. We all talk about how Clinton manipulated Monia, but Linda Tripp just about drove her to suicide by the way she tells it. Just listen to the ecordings- its tragic.

About the only thing I am pissed off at is Clinton about is not keeping it in his pants in the first place, and not being more careful with how Lewenski ended up getting rolled over by the right and left.

I actually don't intend to debate this one. Its simply too contentious and pathetic an issue and its really not worth my time. I think our country went a little insane over a little act of adultery (and we don't even know what sort of relationship Bill had with his wife- it could have, like many working marriages, declined into a simple business proposition... ). I think America suddenly looked like late 18th and 19th century France, where ridicule and scandal dominated politics more than substance.

So, I think Bill Clinton was one of our best presidents- he was very effective and I agreed with a lot (but not all) of his policies. We had a peacefull and very profitable 8 years, which is all I wan't from my government.
