no, not actually. Predicting the future does not endorse it

Tech1, trying to finish up at work... Let me say something really fast and I'll give you more later.

He knows Iraq is toast...or DOES HE?
Look at how we bend over backwards to protect innocent Iraqi civilians. Do you really believe he thinks we will nuke Baghdad because of 10,000 deaths in New York from VX or 7,000 deaths in DC from Anthrax? No, I do NOT believe he thinks we will nuke Iraqis back into the stone age for a WMD attack - quite the opposite, he is buoyed by world opinion that indeed his regime is no threat to the world and that war should not be waged against him.

Let's be honest - would YOU support nuking Baghdad if a WMD went off in say Chicago and killing 5,000 people and making another 10,000 seriously ill?

I know I would NOT - and I am a conservative!

No, we would not nuke- at least I hope we would not. We would use a conventional and likely very bloody response that would leave (again) Saddam dead or captured.

as for the 250,000 troops as a casualty figure, thats not supportable. Modern tactics (which we tend to use) spreads troops out over a VERY large battlefield.

Also, its very dubious that Saddam is still trying for a bomb. Chemical and Bio, yes, but a bomb is out of reach for him.
