Okay, I get it.
What you have to realize is that a philosophy of individual human freedom will do the best job of allowing humans to continue to prosper while keeping the Earth a good place to live. Reasonable environmental laws, based solidly on the philosophy of property rights, will do the rest.
Saving the Earth will not be accomplished by forcing people to live in a collectivized, socialist, controlled society. And that is the solution pushed by the current environmental leadership.
An observant person would notice that the very worst environmental crimes have occurred under just such centralized regimes, or under primitive, non-technical societies. Do you think that's by chance?
