ruinous
I read somewhere recently that the most pessimistic estimates of the cost of rebuilding and pacifying Iraq are but a small percentage of the cost connected to the more ambitious Democrat health care and prescription benefits proposals.
Since we are on the subject of admitting things, without arguing the relative merits of either, if one is ruinous isn't the other at least equally ruinous?
One thing for sure a manned mission to Mars will never sound as expensive as it once did.
