First, it was a set-up- I dislike Matthews intensely- but there isn't anything wrong with a setup...

The author (whose new book is beneath contempt) was there to hawk her vile work, and I would have loved to see her torn a new one for defending the internment camps.

Instead Chris asked her opinion about the previous topic- since she is an outspoken right wing shill there is nothing wrong with that- its a little sneaky but we expect that on these programs.

She made a statement about some wounds that Kerry recieved have been rumoured to be 'self inflicted' Chris jumped on that and asserted that 'self inflicted' meant 'intentionally self inflicted' - As others have pointed out this isnt correct, as Mary Anne has pointed out it IS a loaded term and Kerry's enemiies are intentionally using it as a weapon - no matter who you support, you have to find that sleazy.

This is the point that she became a weasal and asserted that some vets ARE claiming that Kerry's wounds were intentionally self inflicted, as far as I know this is a lie... and she lied repeatedly and Chris called her on it. Had she simply said 'no I did not mean to imply that' and clarified what she meant there would have been no big deal... instead she kept trying to imply Kerry intentionally wounded himself.

The Bitch got what she deserved. To claim that matthews treated her ufairly is rediculous- he was rough on her, yes, but guess what- the name of the program is 'Hardball'.

It was a setup, but as I said- nothing wrong with that. The setup worked only because he knew that she was a partisan hack that would sink to any level to slime Kerry... sort of a female asian ebnelson...:)

Mary Anne has bitch-slapped eb far more effectively than Matthews did his guest.
