For me it is more of a nature/nurture and predestination/choice division. I am more on the nurture/choice side. MA is more on the nature/predestination side. [MA needs to step in and slap me down for mis-stating her opinion, right about now - I'm sure I've got it wrong, somewhere.]
Being on the nurture/choice side does not leave me with any negative feelings about gays. People can do what they want in their free time. And gays suffer a LOT just for being gay in our culture. My second-best friend in the world is gay. I've associated, been friends with, and worked with many. I've danced at a gay club with someone I'm still sure was female, but my buddy asserts was a guy (and won't let me hear the end of it). Oh yeah: I've raised a lot of funds over the years for Aids Project Los Angeles - dance-a-thons & walk-a-thons.
Advice to those who haven't made this mistake: don't try to fix up two gay guys. Most embarrassing moment of my life when one was too over-the-top nellie for the other.
