I don't think men intend to do what you describe. I think it's just this natural reaction to what we normally see in life. We're all victims of our societal programming and much of that is being surrounded by women that fit the stereotypes we've been raised with. Intellectually I know that an intelligent woman who's well-read, fiery, and ready to take on all challengers is no more rare than their male counterpart, but it still catches me off-guard. Too many women that have fit that bill have allowed society to stifle that part of them and it's extremely refreshing to see it jut forth from time to time.

That said, you have to acknowledge that there are profound differences between the sexes. Any parent observing young children can see huge differences between what stimulates the mind of a girl as opposed to a boy. I was merely celebrating that difference and will til my dying day. What a world it would be if women were exactly like men, that they didn't have that calming influence on us like I described at the beginning of this thread or we didn't get the sexual charge that programmed male creatures get everytime an attractive woman walks into the room.

I think that Mary Anne (if she ever jumps into this thread) will probably see the point and if not, I'm in for the fight of my life. Do you see a problem with that? lol
