Even the title of your thread helps answers your own question, IMO

Meaning: Habitablezone gives me the impression that American males - regardless of political persuasion - are overly conscious of any woman expressing herself in a forthright manner. It seems you all just can't fully accept her as an individual, without bringing in the sexism. Even your own totally unnecessary usage of 'pussy whipped' shows yourself up, Art. You are seeing her in exactly the same dominatrix way as the others, when all she is doing is clearly and firmly expressing herself, no more or less than any articulate and opiniated male.

Like the actress Judy Davis once said: any woman expressing herself is automatically labelled 'a strong woman' .. think about it.

Are you going to say, for instance, that you are being 'dick whipped' by this post? I most certainly hope not .. LOL

How's the war of the sexes going over your part of the world, by the way? Sounds like women with opinions are feared, and men are allowing themselves to be degraded as impotent idiots.

Mary Anne, I think it's clear that the future of our country is in the hands of our women. It's so refreshing to hear your eloquence and watch you make these guys quiver. If only we could clone an army of intelligent and involved women to subdue and pacify our angry white males.

Men who say that don't really accept women in their own right as people, and are also degrading themselves IMO. I would never allow myself as a man to 'subdued and pacified' by any angry woman on a power trip, ie. of the type that I've unfortunately met over here in the past. Mary Anne is not like that. If people saw each other as genuine human beings none of this would be an issue at all. No-one would notice her as being particularly 'dominating' or whatever ..

By the way Art: don't take this too personally please - we actually have a lot in common IMO. I actually wanted to address this very issue, and you've provided a 'portal' for me with this thread.

regards ..
Daniel
