I mean, it's supposed to be a reply, after all. Though I suppose, with the term "Post", it could be just one more piece of lumber placed in the palisade of the fort of ideology, but what's the sense of that?
Beth invented a phrase that defines the conversational nonsequiter in this family, referring to her younger sisters' tendency to hijack a dinner conversation to another planet. When we were talking about events at school, say, or at work, and one of the little people brought up the Care Bears for no particular reason, Beth's response was to look at her and say, "I like elephants." That produced the slow blink of confusion, and while she tried to figure it our, her topic was tabled and brought up after the current conversation came to a suitable pause.
I guess that, in view of the number of nonsequiters posted here, I must like elephants too.
Thanks for the care you take in your replies to me. You take care in your replies as a rule, so I know it's not much of a hardship for you. I hope you don't feel the need for asbestos gloves. :)
