Teaching myself by example

We try and sometimes we fail. It can be tiring to try again, and it's very tiring to admit when I have been wrong. Compromise can be exhausting; we haven't many exhausted people here very often.

What makes me very sad is to see people set aside principle and hope in trade for what they believe is safety. They may feel safer, but they have diminished themselves, and also diminished the world by trading in principle for transience and hope for despair.

Some days "personal best" is just getting up in the morning. :)
