That isn't dogma. It's based on human nature and the nature of governments that survive on winning elections.
No, its Ayn Randian pseudophilosophy and little more than opinion trumphed up as a proclimation on the mount.
"And do we need to bring up Medicare and Medicaid again?"
Every side has a boogeyman hyperbole. You have yours. Goody. I have mine.
I do not use the outliers to argue logical cases. Thats your forte and I'll leave you to it.
"remember that all the evidence of history tells you the exact opposite will be true."
When appropriately filtered through the right ideological lense, and drawn from select sources and taken out of context. Sure.
I'm not going to get into a 'big picture' paradigmatic argument with you, Brosz. Suffice to say that as a former 'pro' in that area, I reject your methodology, I find your starting premises absurd, I don't agree on the significance of your data points- etc. And whenever we do get into big picture arguments, you run off to the 'good-ole-boy-wannabe' hill and start slinging around proclimations about 'all truth is simple' and 'you high-falutin' academics blowing gas at eachother' and 'college boy!' crap. I feel like you probably feel when you deal with the math/science illiterates.
Frankly, I very much enjoyed this thread and found it informative, and I don't want to spoil it. You have last word, and do me a favor and don't use it as an excuse to provoke.
